C. Edward Saffell
Chief Financial Officer
Ed Saffell joined AFCO in 2001 and serves as chief financial officer for all corporate entities. He is primarily responsible for financial management and reporting, acquisitions, real estate deal structures, and financing.
His more than 30 years of diverse accounting experience includes evaluating potential real estate acquisitions and development projects, financing projects, preparing annual budgets and business plans, analyzing monthly financial results and developing and maintaining accounting systems and related operations.

Ed is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Before joining AFCO, Ed secured construction, senior and subordinated debt, and equity financing for numerous projects as chief financial officer at Kim King Associates, Inc., an Atlanta real estate development and management company.
Ed’s experience isn’t confined to real estate, however. He was chief financial officer for three years at Southern Medical Imaging, a startup medical services company, a controller for four years at Norrell Corporation, a large temporary help company, controller for two years at Reed Wallcoverings, the U.S. wallpaper distributor for a British public company, and an auditor at Price Waterhouse for five years.
Ed earned an accounting degree from Virginia Tech and is a certified public accountant. Ed enjoys tennis, photography, and family activities. The Saffells make their home in Roswell.
